These reports include information on the epidemiology of invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD) in New Zealand since 2008. IPD is a notifiable disease in New Zealand and these reports use data available within EpiSurv, the national notifiable disease database as well as laboratory based surveillance data.
The annual reports also include information on the antimicrobial susceptibility of invasive S. pneumoniae isolates. Below are the last five years of surveillance reports, earlier reports are available in the Archive.
