Kelly Broerse
Kelly Broerse is a Data Analyst with the STRmix team at MASC. She’s been at ESR for over 6 years. She moved up to Auckland from Christchurch to take up her dream job at MASC after completing a BSc with postgraduate study in forensics in Christchurch and Auckland. She first started as a Senior Technician in the Forensic Biology Laboratory at MASC for 5 years and then moved to the STRmix team. Her current role involves implementing and validating FaSTR and STRmix software platforms for customer laboratories all over the world. It's a very busy but flexible role and she’s thoroughly enjoying the challenge.
Outside of work, Kelly’s a New Zealand and South Pacific Muay Thai and Kickboxing champion. She loves encouraging other women to get into martial arts for the confidence and health benefits it provides.
